Who We Are
Baker & Associates, LLC was formed in 2008. We work with many Condominium and Homeowner Associations, large and small, in the Delmarva area. We are a licensed Accounting Firm with the State of MD (License # 4367816). We provide services based on their individual needs, ranging from Accounting/Finance and Audits, to full service Property Management. We also provide consulting services for a wide range of businesses, in or out of the local area.
In addition to our current endeavor at Baker Associates, LLC, we have worked extensively in other companies and industries, combining for over 50 Years of valuable knowledge and experience. We pride ourselves on providing outstanding customer service with impeccable Experience, Knowledge and Integrity.
Vonnie Baker, CPA is an Accounting and Finance professional with over 25 years of experience. She earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting from The University of Connecticut in 1990.
Her career began in public accounting at Deloitte & Touche, LLP, one of the largest international accounting firms in the world. After four years in the Deloitte & Touche audit group, she moved into the private industry working for a $1.4 billion, publicly traded Corporation – ADVO, Inc. Here she spent 13 years holding various management positions within the Finance and Accounting Departments, including Financial Statement Preparation, SEC reporting, Mergers & Acquisitions and Financial Analysis.
Her varied experience, as well as her ability to build strong relationships, provides her with the skills essential to meeting her clients’ needs.
Bob Baker is a Business and Finance professional with 30+ years of experience. He earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Finance and a Masters Degree in Business (M.B.A.), both from the University of Baltimore School of Business
His career spans a number of companies in differing industries and he has held executive positions while managing groups as large as 115 employees. A significant part of his career was focused on the financial side, including managing departments such as Corporate Strategic Planning, Financial Planning and Financial Analysis, as well as Mergers & Acquisitions. He also led several business units such as Strategic Business Development and as President of a $25 million company, was successful in turning around a chronically unprofitable company into a profitable company (approx. $2 million pretax profit).
His diverse experience and exposure to many companies and industries make him uniquely qualified to understand customer needs and to provide insightful advice and services that can help all types of businesses/entities grow and operate efficiently.
